There's a lady at my work named Danielle. Danielle is the spelling that I'm use to seeing anyway. Her name is spelled Danyell... as in Dan-yell.
Poor woman, what the hell were her parents thinking? O.o
I'm all for unique names, but the odd spellings of classic names is not something I'm big on. I saw the name Kristene (Christine) earlier today too. I guess I should be glad I haven't actually seen an Abcde yet.
Yet being the key word.

After searching for a while, I finally found a local charity that I want to support. It's a charity that collects and distributes new blankets, scarves, hats, and socks to children who are undergoing treatment for cancer. The harsh treatments used to fight cancer hinder the children's ability to retain body heat, so the items distributed to them make them more comfortable. The charity was started by the parents of a 12 year old girl who has since lost her battle with cancer. It was her idea to collect and distribute these items to other children in similar situations. The following was taken from the website in regards to the items they collect.
Soft cozy blankets of any size color and patterns for children ages infant to late teens. Hats of all colors and sizes, must be cozy and soft no hard brims or hard scratchy materials. Socks, slipper socks, scarves, and gloves. All must be NEW, CLEAN, and ready to make a child warm and cozy.
All of the items need to be new since the children have immune systems that have been compromised. They can either be bought or made. If anyone wants to participate with me feel free to do so. I'll be making items over the next 3 months or so to donate. I'll also be taking up a collection from any coworkers who are interested in donating as well. If any of my friends on here are interested in participating in any way you can feel free to message me about it. Items can either be sent to me, or directly to the charity.

I'm going to preface this by saying that my gremlin makes me extremely happy. She fills me with love and joy that I never knew was possible.
With that being said, there are other aspects of my life (things I desire) that are seriously lacking. These 'things' keep surfacing in my dreams and torturing me on a regular basis. I don't know what's worse, being able to dream that you have everything that will complete your life, or the harsh reality that punches you in the stomach and breaks your heart when you wake up.
